Turn on the respondent confirmation and Formkit emails whoever submitted, using the email field on the form.
What to write
Keep it short: confirm what they sent, say what happens next and by when. A confirmation that says nothing but "thank you" generates a follow-up email asking whether it arrived.
Reply-to
Set a reply-to address so replies reach a person rather than disappearing.
Attaching a copy
Optionally attach a copy of their answers. Useful for applications and quotes, unnecessary for a two-question enquiry.
The email log
Everything Formkit sends on your behalf is recorded in the email log in Settings, with the recipient, the subject and the time.
Their receipt
Every confirmation has a Keep a copy button. It opens their receipt: what they sent, when, and a reference number, in your form's look, ready to print or save as a PDF. Hidden fields are never shown on it. When the form allows editing after submit, the email also links to Change your answers.
