The Design tab opens on the theme presets. Each one sets the background, the card surface, the accent used by buttons and selected states, and the type pairing. Selecting a preset updates the live preview beside it straight away.
Starting from a preset
Presets are a starting point, not a lock. Change any individual colour afterwards and the preset becomes "Custom" without losing the rest of its choices.
Matching a brand
If you have brand colours, set the accent first and the background second. A dark background needs a lighter accent than the same brand would use on white. The preview shows the contrast as you go.
