Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, for as long as you like, with no card. Unlimited forms and responses, every question type, logic, partial responses, drop-off, themes, your own formkit.app link and unlimited members are all on Free.
What is a company?
A workspace with its own forms, responses, brand, members and plan. Everyone starts with a personal company, and you can make as many more as you like, one for each business or client. Each company is upgraded on its own, so a paid plan for one does not touch the others.
How does per seat pricing work?
Every member of a company is one seat, you included. Pro is $6 a seat a month and Business $19, so a company of three on Pro pays $18 a month. Seats follow your members: add someone and the next bill adds a seat, remove them and it drops. Guests invited to a single form are free and never count as a seat.
What does Pro add?
Looking like your own brand (a custom domain, no “Powered by Formkit”, emails from your domain, your fonts and CSS), webhooks, Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, payments, calculations and several endings, quizzes, unlimited guests on every form, and AI on your responses: replies written for each person, logic that reads answers, and insights reports.
Who is Business for?
Teams and agencies. It has everything in Pro with bigger AI allowances, plus approval before publishing, templates shared across the company, an audit log, retention rules and sign-in with your company’s Google Workspace.
How do the AI allowances work?
Each seat adds its allowance to one pool the whole company shares, and the pool refills on the first of every month. A Pro company of three gets 150 AI form builds, 75 AI edits, 60 responses AI works on and 9 insights reports a month, used by whoever needs them. Free has 3 builds and 10 edits a month for the company, however many members it has.
What happens when the AI allowance runs out?
Nothing stops working unless you want it to. Buy AI credits and they are used once the month’s allowance is gone: a form build is 2 credits, an edit 1, a response AI works on 1 and an insights report 3. Packs are $5 for 100, $20 for 420 and $50 for 1,050, and credits last 12 months. Free companies can use credits for builds and edits.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes. Yearly is two months free: Pro is $60 a seat a year instead of $72, Business $190 instead of $228. Change it from Settings → Plan whenever you like.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from Settings → Plan. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
What happens to my forms if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. Features outside your new plan simply stop. A custom domain goes back to your formkit.app link, and everything you built or collected stays yours and exportable.
Who handles the payment?
Polar, who act as the merchant of record. They take the card, add any sales tax or VAT that applies, and send the receipt. Prices are in US dollars.
Do you take a cut of payments my forms collect?
No. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account. Formkit never touches the money and takes nothing.
