Colours
Four colours make up a theme: page background, card surface, accent and text. Each has a swatch row of suggestions plus a hex field. Error colouring is recalculated for you so a dark theme stays legible.
Type
Pick a font for the form from the picker. Serif families suit long-form applications; the sans families suit short enquiries. Formkit does not offer monospace faces.
Layout
Choose classic, where every question is on one page, or conversational, where questions arrive one at a time with a sticky submit. Conversational suits phones and short forms; classic suits anything somebody needs to review before sending.
Your own font and CSS (Pro)
On Pro and Business, upload your brand's font file under Type, and add your own CSS in the CSS section of Design. The CSS applies only inside the form, so it cannot change anything else on the page.
