Settings → Company → Custom domains shows each domain’s state, the exact record to add, and what public DNS shows right now. Select Check again after any change.
You typed the whole domain in Host
Most DNS providers add your domain for you. For forms.acme.com, type only forms in the Host or Name field, not forms.acme.com.
There is already a record with that name
A name can have only one CNAME, and a CNAME cannot sit next to an A record. Delete or edit the old record.
Your DNS is on Cloudflare
Set the record to DNS only (the grey cloud). The orange proxy hides the record from Formkit.
You changed nameservers recently
Add the record where the domain’s nameservers point now, not at your old host. The setup guide shows the current nameservers.
It has been more than a day
Remove the domain, add it again, and check the record matches exactly. If it still will not connect, contact us.
It worked, then stopped
If the company moved to Free, visits to your domain go on to the matching formkit.app link. Custom domains are part of Pro.
